LISTEN AS RICK LONZ PLAYS THE GREATEST VARIETY OF ROCK N ROLL GOLDEN OLDIES HEARD ANYWHERE...
CRACK OPEN A RELIC RACK SIX PACK of Buddy Holly favorites...
He was christened Charles Hardin Holley in 1936. "Buddy Holly"
as he was known minus the "e", resulted from a "typo"
early in his career. 5 of his hits will be followed by a "tribute"
recording called "Buddy" dedicated to him a year before
he perished in an Iowa snow storm on February 3, 1959. It was written
and performed by Jackie De Shannon who 'imitates' Holly's style
which is a far cry from her folksy soft rock hits like "What
the World Needs Now is Love"
An annotated Buddy Holly biography... (Highlighted Titles will play when you click on the radio icon)
